For Northwest foster children, each day presents new challenges. Many foster children are placed in care suddenly and must leave home with only the clothes on their backs. Others are relocated several times and must struggle to catch up in a new school. Foster families face the challenge of quickly replenishing all essential items, such as warm winter clothing, school supplies and shoes to fit growing feet.
That’s why Sleep Country founded the Sleep Country Foster Kids program. With community support and the help of non-profit foster child organizations, we can make a positive impact in the lives of foster children in the Northwest. Our support helps ensure that foster children have access to the essential items they need to lead a successful life.
While the focus of our collection drives changes throughout the year, we gladly continue to accept in-kind donations after a drive has ended.
Sleep Country’s Foster Kids Shoe Drive Collected Over 8,000 New Shoes!
Our 2014 Shoe Drive brought in over 8,000 pairs of shoes for foster children in the Pacific Northwest. Thank you to everyone who donated and to those who hosted their own shoe drives.
Sleep Country knows, not everyone can be a foster parent, but anyone can help a foster child.™
